Modkit may be terrible, but at least it let me get rid of that.) Even the Kaer Morhen armor that looked so cool in the concept art looks to me to make Geralt look like a huge, superman muscle guy. (Not to mention the "Bedazzler" look of everything after Enhanced. Or the blue, blue, blue all over the Feline school. For example, the shoulder frills on the Manticore (and those intensely bright white sleeves!). They all need just a bit of tweaking to make them look really good. In my opinion, there's no real perfect armor (aesthetically) in Witcher 3. Keep in mind that I have mods for the textures of all of these. Tier 1 Manticore (and not just for nostalgia's sake - after we're done taking those silly non-Geralt-y frills off the shoulders, it should be perfect)>Enhanced Feline>Superior Wolf>Grandmaster Ursine. Mind posting a link of where you found it, Cyberpunk? If I can convince its creator to let me make a mod of it, I will. This looks like an edited 3D model to me. (And a hell of a lot of work for the art and 3D-modelling departments!)
That's just an aesthetic choice for variety's sake. Lots of characters will wear "medium armors" that accent the "Wolf School", but no other character in the game will wear exactly the same type of medium armor that Geralt does. The designers went an extra step, however, and ensured that whatever Geralt and named characters were dressed in would always be unique. This, in turn, loosely represents the different methodology towards monster hunting that each school adopts. The designers simply generated unique sets of armor that would accent the combat styles of one particular "school".Īs a comparison, think of each "Witcher Gear" armor set as defining a specific "class" in other RPGs. All of the Witchers that are based in Kaer Mohren are part of the "Wolf" School, but they don't wear identical sets of armor.
Each Witcher School has it's own icon, but they don't have "uniforms" per say. I see where the confusion lies here, actually.
